چکیده

The progress monitoring (PM) of construction projects is an essential aspect project control that enables the stakeholders to make timely decisions ensure successful delivery, but ongoing practices are largely manual and document-centric. However, integration technologically advanced tools into has shown potential automate PM (CPM) using real-time data collection, analysis, visualization for effective decision making. In this study, we assess level automation achieved through various methods enable automated computer vision (CV)-based CPM. A detailed literature review presented, discussing complete process CV-based CPM based on research conducted between 2011 2021. comprises four sub-processes: acquisition, information retrieval, estimation, output visualization. Most techniques encompassing these sub-processes require human intervention perform desired tasks, inter-connectivity among them absent. We conclude centric resolving technical feasibility studies image-based processing site data, which still experimental lack connectivity its applications management. This highlighted most efficient involved in accentuated need alternative traditional practices.

A Concept for Automated Construction Progress Monitoring Using Bim-based Geometric Constraints and Photogrammetric Point Clouds

On-site progress monitoring is essential for keeping track of the ongoing work on construction sites. Currently, this task is a manual, time-consuming activity. The research presented here, describes a concept for an automated comparison of the actual state of construction with the planned state for the early detection of deviations in the construction process. The actual state of the construct...

A review on knowledge-based computer vision

In this study we review the area of Knowledge-Based Computer Vision (KBCV), putting in focus its knowledge representation aspects, starting from the year 2000. We introduce the topic by reviewing what researchers during the 1990’s saw as the future path to be taken and how these influenced recent contributions. We then proceed analysing the contributions in visual knowledge representation. We d...

Human Computer Interaction Using Vision-Based Hand Gesture Recognition

With the rapid emergence of 3D applications and virtual environments in computer systems; the need for a new type of interaction device arises. This is because the traditional devices such as mouse, keyboard, and joystick become inefficient and cumbersome within these virtual environments. In other words, evolution of user interfaces shapes the change in the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). In...

Computer Vision – A Review

when a person gets lost, he uses all his senses to acquire his location and the way back to the last identified location. But what about the robots, how do they come to know their location, the source and destination. Here comes the concept of Computer Vision into the picture. The scope of this paper concerns both the developments in the field of computer vision and applications related to comp...
